Salamair set to touch down in Tbilisi and Baku
SalamAir, is adding two new exciting destinations to its growing network this coming Eid. Starting June 14th, Oman’s first budget airline, will operate three weekly direct flights to Tbilisi, Georgia and two weekly flights to Baku in Azerbaijan.
Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir said, “It is the perfect time for SalamAir to fly to Tbilisi and Baku. The Eid holidays is a time for celebration and during this period there is generally a surge in travel to the Caucasia region. Our aim is to provide guests with better choice and flexibility to create their personal journey.”
He went on to add, “We want to bring Oman and the Middle East closer to Eastern Europe. There is great potential for these two new destinations and we are confident that, together with affordable and direct flights, guests will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of Tbilisi and Baku. On the other hand, our flights will also provide residence of Baku and Tabilisi with their first direct connection to Oman which will allow them to conduct their business and explore the beauty of our country easily and conveniently.”
For those looking to escape the Omani summer, the relaxed visa procedures in both destinations allows guests to receive their visa-on-arrival. SalamAir will be operating flights to Georgia’s capital city every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, while flights to Baku are scheduled twice weekly on Wednesday and Friday.
Today, the SalamAir network consists of 14 destinations including Muscat, Salalah, Suhar, Dubai, Doha, Jeddah, Taif, Madina, Karachi, Multan, Sialkot, Shiraz, as well as Tbilisi and Baku. All routes offer a choice of three easy fare options: Light, Friendly & Flexi. A cost-conscious menu of additional services is also available to guests, which includes extra luggage allowance, seat selection, and priority check-in.
