Port of Zeebrugge has reported a growth of 6.3 per cent during the first semester compared to the same period last year. There was a total of 19,450,286 tonnes of cargo volume processed in Zeebrugge. The increase was led by the RoRo (+9.3 per cent), fluid bulk goods (+15.1 per cent) and container (+6.1 per cent) sectors, highlighted a release.

In RoRo, growth was registered for the UK (+1.9 per cent), Ireland (+9.1 per cent), Scandinavia (+4.2 per cent) and Southern Europe (+23.6 per cent). The increase in fluid bulk cargo was mainly due to enhanced LNG cargo handling, the release added.
