Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced a General Rate Increase on their Trans-Atlantic Trade with effect from February 1, 2014.

OOCL will be increasing freight rates by US$100/20' and US$200/40'/45' for Eastbound dry cargo loading at U.S. West Coast ports.

OOCL said the increases are essential given the declining revenue they are currently experiencing in order to sustain their current services for this trade.
