Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced the enhancement of its Panama and Amazon trade by forming a new partnership with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).

As a result, the CX1 product will add weekly service from Manaus to the Panamanian hub of Manzanillo. The schedule reliability of the service will also be improved. The first sailing of the upgraded CX1 service will be MSC ANAHITA V.AZ703A on January 19, 2017 from Manzanillo, Panama. MOL will operate one vessel out of total four vessels. The effective vessel size will be 1,800 TEU.

Port coverage of the new joint service will be CX1: Manzanillo, Panama - Manaus - Vila Do Conde - Manzanillo, Panama
