Maersk's Triple E Ship calls at Morocco's Tanger-Med Port

The first ship of the series EEE-Class with a capacity of 18,000 TEUs, called "Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller" (named after the owner of Maersk, who died last year) discusses facilities APM Terminals Tangier Med this Friday, September 6, 2013.

It is the largest container ship, ever built to date. True giant of the seas, its dimensions are 400 meters long and 59 meters wide and 73 meters high, with a draft of 16 meters. It allows a significant reduction in transport costs up to 26%, with a reduction in CO2 emissions of around 50% per transported container.

After being left on her maiden voyage from Korean port of Vostochny and affected several terminals at the ports of Busan, Shanghai, Pelapas, Tanjung, Rotterdam and Aarhus-among others-the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller passes through the Mediterranean at its first African stopover APM Terminals Tangier at the port of Tanger Med and continue its route via the Suez Canal before joining the Far East.
