Maersk restructures Europe-West Africa service network
Maersk is constantly seeking ways to expanding their network and improve the efficiency of services. That is why they are pleased to announce they are expanding their network options.
From week 17, they will be making below changes to their Europe to/from West Africa Services.
To meet the seasonal market demand in South Africa, the WAF7 and WAF13 services will be merged, and will be extended to Coega, South Africa. The WAF2 service will be upgraded and extended to Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Since the disruptions of the Red Sea, global logistics have faced great challenges in East Mediterranean Area. Therefore, the WAF6 service will be extended to Port Said, Egypt, to offer better coverage and reduce bottlenecks. They will also add a northbound Tema call to support West Africa exports.
