IAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG) announces a new route between Madrid, Spain and Doha, Qatar expanding the business’s reach in the Middle East and enhancing its proposition in the Asia Pacific region.
This new daily direct service between Madrid and Doha will be operated by an Iberia A330, commencing 11th December. With Madrid being a key international hub, customers from Asia Pacific will be able to connect their goods into the wider network through Madrid, which serves 17 destinations in Latin America. Likewise, the service enables greater access for customers in Europe, Latin America and North America particularly in the food sector where perishables are largely exported into the Middle East. This new route means that we’re able to increase our customers’ trans-shipment route options, by offering an additional gateway linking Asia Pacific destinations to our extensive European and Latin American network. Moreover, it presents customers in Latin America and North America an extra gateway to connect with their shippers in the Middle East and Asia Pacific, leveraging our established partnerships in the region.
With this new route, we look forward to facilitating new trade lanes, which will bring a host of benefits to our customers.”
