Hapag-Lloyd will launch the Finland Express (FIX), a new complementary service, directly connecting German Hubs with ports in the Gulf of Finland as well as Gulf of Bothnia. Starting end of March / beginning of April 2013, they intend to operate this fixed day weekly service with two vessels covering following rotation:

Bremerhaven, Hamburg, ports surrounding St. Petersburg area, Kotka, Rauma, and Gaevle.

In addition to their existing network, the Finland Express (FIX) will further extend port coverage in the Baltic, offering a reliable connection with comprehensive and global mainliner service network at German Hub ports. Furthermore, Hapag-Lloyd expands opportunities to cater for Short-Sea shipment requirements at first hand. In combination with the Russia Express (REX), the FIX will provide a second weekly sailing to and from Russian as well as Finnish main ports.
