FESCO and Russian Railways dispatch a record number of double trainsets from Vladivostok
FESCO Transportation Group and Far Eastern Railway have dispatched twelve double container trainsets from Commercial Port of Vladivostok within a week, which is an absolute record.
Average length of combined trains constituted 126 conventional rail cars (72 fitting platforms) which were loaded with containers with various cargo nomenclature from China, the Republic of Korea, Vietnam and Japan.
Standard container trains departing from CPV are on average formed from 63 conventional rail cars (36 fitting platforms).
According to the results of last year the maximum number of double trainsets dispatched from CPV in a week was seven combined trains.
The technology of double trainsets makes it possible to optimize production processes at a freight station, increase the volume of rail dispatches and shorten delivery time of goods in containers as well as reduce the workload on infrastructure of the Eastern polygon.
