Emirates Line hikes rates in East Africa Trade Lane

Emirates Shipping Line, headquartered in Dubai and Hong Kong, has announced a general rate increase (GRI) on its East Africa trade lane. This is in response to the tight demand in the market conditions.

With effect from 1st September 2013 the freight rates for westbound shipments to East Africa region from the Far East and South East Asia will rise by US$300 per TEU, a company release said.
