Crane Worldwide Logistics expands UK warehousing capacity in the Midlands
Crane Worldwide Logistics UK has recently announced the expansion of its existing warehouse space in the Midlands. Due to strategic growth in contract logistics services, the company has leased an additional facility to satisfy increasing demand.
In Wellesbourne, close to Birmingham airport, the company operates pick, pack, and ship services in a multi-user facility.
The warehouse services include value-added services, including labeling, tagging, and SKU transformation with full in-house WMS integration and 360° client reporting.
The additional warehouse space, located within Wellesbourne Industrial Park, will add 55,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space in the Midlands.
The Midlands warehouses supplement Crane Worldwide's additional 3PL logistics capabilities throughout the United Kingdom, which include global freight forwarding and niche services such as Time-Critical air freight and X-ray screening.
Hubs in London Heathrow and Manchester provide global freight forwarding services, using their international presence to meet UK shippers’ worldwide import and export requirements. Crane also has a strong foothold in Scotland, with its Aberdeen hub serving the energy, projects, and renewable markets.
With a growing footprint of warehouse space in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, including locations such as Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Tilburg, Roosendaal, Dublin, Cork, and Johannesburg, Crane Worldwide continues to invest where its clients need 3PL logistics services with a global freight forwarding capability.
"Our growing 3PL presence in the United Kingdom is a testament to the dedication of our people, who have developed strong partnerships with our clients," comments David Burck, Managing Director UK at Crane Worldwide.
"As a privately owned company, our organic growth is built on solid partnerships with a personal touch, focused on innovative solutions that benefit our client's bottom line,“ he concludes.
