Regional Container Lines has announced that CNC Line will replace OOCL as its partner in the RBC service, which connects China, Thailand and Vietnam.

The RBC port rotation is Shanghai and Ningbo, China; Laem Chabang, Thailand; Port Authority of Thailand; Laem Chabang; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; and Ningbo. The new partnership will commence on June 9 from Port Authority of Thailand on the northbound voyage to Ho Chi Minh City, Ningbo and Shanghai.

RCL will continue to operate two of the three vessels deployed in the 21-day weekly service, including the Ganta Bhum and Hunsa Bhum, each of 1,100 20-foot-equivalent unit capacity. CNC Line will contribute the Kuo Chang vessel of 1,120 TEUs, replacing OOCL's Victoria Trader.

OOCL will continue as a slot buyer in the RBC service following the change of partners.

RCL will also provide MOL with slots in its RTI service, which connects Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. In turn, MOL will provide slots to RCL in its NKX service, which connects Malaysia, Singapore, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The RTI service port rotation is as follows: Thai Prosperity Terminal at Phrapradang Port, Thailand; Laem Chabang; Singapore; Jakarta, Indonesia; Laem Chabang; and Thai Prosperity Terminal. The NKX rotation is as follows: Port Klang, Malaysia; Singapore; Nhava Sheva, India; Karachi, Pakistan; Pipavav, India; Colombo, Sri Lanka; and Port Klang. RCL will continue to operate two vessels of 1,098-TEU capacity, namely Xetha and Yantra Bhum, on the RTI weekly service with a 14-day rotation.

The new NKX exchange will begin June 14, departing from Port Klang on the westbound voyage to Nhava Sheva and Karachi, and the new RTI exchange will commence on June 26 departing from Thai Prosperity Terminal to Singapore and Jakarta.(Source:Joc)
