CMA CGM ups Asia-West Africa rate US$500/TEU March 1

French shipping giant CMA CGM has announced a US$500 per TEU increase on all cargo from Asia, including Korea, Taiwan, Japan, southeast Asia and Bangladesh to West Africa from March 1.

The Marseilles-based shipping line, the world third biggest, said the increase was part of a "rate restoration programme".
