Cargolux Airlines has begun a twice-weekly Trans-Pacific service between the two cities in April, operated by the airlines advanced 747-8 freighters. At the Air Cargo Europe event in Munich, Cargolux announced that loads on the first couple of flights have been better than anticipated.
This new Trans-Pacific service from Zhengzhou is a milestone in the development of our Chinese operations and the cooperation with our partner HNCA, says Dirk Reich, Cargolux President and CEO. We are proud that our partnership is moving ahead so swiftly and successfully. The new services leave Zhengzhou every Tuesday and Friday at 1:00h and arrive in Chicago at 3:25h (all times local). The return flights leave Chicago at 5:25h and arrive in Zhengzhou at 8:40h. The Chicago services are expected to increase to four weekly roundtrips before the end of the year.
