Cargolux Airlines International S.A. announced the launch of a third scheduled flight to Zhengzhou, China, effective from September 3rd, 2014.
Following the successful introduction of the first two flights in June, CV9743 will depart Luxembourg on Wednesday at 22:00 and reach Zhengzhou on Thursday at 20:40 before returning via Novosibirsk and land in Luxembourg on Friday morning at 06:15.
The other two flights are operated on Thursday and Saturday leaving Luxembourg at 22:00 and reaching the Chinese province of Henan at 20:40 the next day. Arrival back in Luxembourg is scheduled for 06:15 on Saturday and Monday morning, respectively.
Cargolux will double its Zhengzhou service to 6 weekly flights by the end of 2014 in a bid to offer its customers shortest transit times between Europe and any city in Central China.
Zhengzhou is ideally located in central China with daily road feeder services to coastal cities such as Beijing and Shanghai and reaches far inland providing faster and more economical services to inland cities such as Xi'an, Wuhan, Chengdu and Chongqing.
The successful stepping up of regular air cargo services between Luxembourg and Zhengzhou is part of the dual-hub strategy centered on Luxembourg's Findel airport in Europe and on Zhengzhou's Xinzheng International Airport in Asia. The dual hub strategy is a major pillar of the Commercial Cooperation Agreement between Cargolux and HNCA.
