AA Cargo launches route to Seoul
American Airlines Cargo has launched nonstop Boeing 777-200 service between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and South Korea's Incheon International Airport. Electronics, perishables, auto parts, and oil and gas equipment are expected to comprise the key loads on flights, according to AA Cargo officials.
The carrier will deploy its Expedite and Expedite TC services on the route, which offers interline connections to Japan, China, Australia and Russia. All Ace Service Ltd. is serving as the carrier's general sales agent in Seoul while Sharp Aviation K Inc. will handle AA Cargo's freight in South Korea.
AA Cargo executives hope the new opportunities afforded by this service will offset the declining freight volumes the airline has seen lately. The carrier's cargo traffic stalled 3.2 per cent, year-on-year, in April, a drop in line with the 4.6 per cent, year-on-year, cargo loss AA Cargo recorded in March. (Source: azfreight)
